Dr. Amy Arouni became fascinated with cardiovascular medicine in medical school and continues to be amazed by all things related to the heart. The sheer volume of cardiovascular literature, while daunting to many, excites Dr. Arouni. But she is especially encouraged by the remarkable inroads medical science has made into the management of cardiovascular diseases. She sees her cardiology practice as a fight and Creighton University Medical Center’s pioneering developments and “fantastic” technology as weapons in that fight.
Dr. Arouni enjoys influencing and educating young physicians as they develop their own understanding of medicine in general and cardiology in particular. She believes there is no better place to give – or receive – care than an academic medical center.
When she is not engaged in medicine, Dr. Arouni likes to cook, garden, volunteer in the community and spend time with her family.
